NZ Disability Rights Commissioner
Paula Tesoriero MNZM is New Zealand’s Disability Rights Commissioner. She has a broad mandate under the Human Rights Act 1993 to protect and promote the rights of disabled New Zealanders.
Paula is a former lawyer and was a senior public servant for a number of years. She is a life trustee with the Halberg Foundation, and has held a range of governance roles on various Boards.
She is also a Paralympian cycling gold medalist and holds a number of sports related roles including being a member of the New Zealand Sports Tribunal and she was the Chef de Mission for the NZ Paralympic team for Tokyo 2020.
